SPIRITUAL LIFE
Spiritual Life at MVCA extends to every activity that takes place on campus and reaches beyond our walls into our community and the world. MVCA exists to cultivate the spiritual formation of our students by integrating the Bible in the classroom daily, providing weekly chapel services and service opportunities, facilitating mission trips, encouraging participation in the arts and athletics with Christian role models as coaches and leaders, and creating intentional opportunities for students to grow in their relationship with Jesus. Our goal is that students grow just as Jesus did in Luke 2:52: “…in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.”
At MVCA, our students participate daily in morning devotionals connected to our monthly and yearly spiritual themes. They engage in discipleship classes that teach Biblical knowledge and application, participate weekly in chapels that include worship, Biblical messages, and time for reflection, and are offered many opportunities throughout the year to see and participate in what God is doing off campus, both in our city and in the world. Through all these activities, our prayer is that God is creating the soil in the hearts of our students that Jesus refers to in Luke 8, so that it will “return a crop that is 100× more than was sown” and that our students will have a God-sized impact on the world.
